Nick graduated in 2003 as a member of The Golden Key International Honour Society from the School of Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia. He received his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2006. Nick is a registered member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and a Member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
After completing his Master of Science degree, Nick started his career with the Toronto Western Hospital, a member of The University Health Network, a teaching hospital, where he practised in orthopedics, working specifically with the hand and upper extremity. Nick continues to assess workers, for the foot and ankle, and hand and upper extremity WSIB Specialty Programs that are receiving a surgical consultation from an orthopaedic or plastic surgeon.
Nick provides Occupational Therapy Services in both the private and public sectors in Canada. He works as a consultant for disability management companies, conducting in-home assessments. His specific clinical area of interest is pre-operative education and post-operative rehabilitation of patients following total knee and total hip replacements.
He continues to work in the community as a Personal Trainer/Health Consultant, helping clients to achieve their fitness goals. Nick has had experience in designing reactivation and fitness programs for injured workers and individuals with chronic pain.
Nick has a special interest in the prevention of injuries through education regarding general fitness, and the principles of proper posture and body mechanics. |
